Our privacy commitment
Camden Civic Lens collects only the Google identity information needed to verify a user and document acceptance of the public disclaimer. It does not request access to Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, calendars, or other Google services.
Information collected
When a user continues with Google, Camden Civic Lens receives and stores Google's stable account identifier and verified email address. It also stores the disclaimer version, the exact accepted statement, its SHA-256 fingerprint, and the UTC acceptance time. Google passwords and Google ID tokens are not stored. A random, temporary session identifier is placed in a secure, HTTP-only cookie; only a one-way hash of that identifier is stored by the service.
How information is used
The information is used only to verify identity, associate the user with a disclaimer acknowledgement, prevent duplicate records for the same version, and maintain an auditable record of acceptance.
Sharing and sale of information
Camden Civic Lens does not sell Google user data. Identity and acknowledgement data is not shared with Camden County or used for advertising. Information may be disclosed only when required by applicable law or necessary to protect the security and integrity of the service.
Retention, security, and deletion
Acknowledgement records are retained while needed to document acceptance of the applicable disclaimer version. Reasonable technical and administrative measures are used to protect stored information, but no system can guarantee absolute security. To request access to or deletion of an acknowledgement record, email [email protected].
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date. When the accepted statement changes, users will be asked to acknowledge the new version before using the search tools.
